In July, Michelle Canning and Arlene McPhillips travelled to Birmingham for #Commscamp at the invite of one of its founders, Dan Slee. For those not familiar with#Commscamp, it’s an ‘unconference’, a fresh take on a conference with an informal and laid back approach, encouraging optimum participation with comms people from across the public sector and from all levels of organisations. The agenda gets drawn-up on the day. Learn more about#Commscamp here. There can be up to 30 sessions, each proposed and facilitated by attendees. Trust us. It works. And there’s cake! #Commscamp Birmingham gave us the opportunity to network, get creative, share ideas with colleagues across the sector and has given us a few ideas of our own. All we can say at this stage is watch this space, #CommsCamp 2019 anyone?
